A 24-YEAR-old man succumbed to peer pressure and allowed five passengers into his car instead of the legal four.

Blackburn magistrates heard all six occupants of the Vauxhall Astra ended up in hospital after Shoyeb Patel lost control of the car which ended up on a garden wall.

Patel, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, using a vehicle with a number of passengers that caused danger of injury, driving without insurance and without a test certificate.

He was fined £250 with £50 costs and his licence endorsed with eight penalty points.
