HYNDBURN residents will get the chance to have their say on how the council’s money is spent at a meeting next month.
The meeting will discuss a possible rise in council tax, as well as what services the money will be spent on.
Coun Ken Moss, chairman of the resources overview and scrutiny committee, said: “This is an opportunity for our residents and businesses to hear about the council’s budget issues, and to quiz us about the budget for next year.”
The meeting will be held at Scaitcliffe House, in Ormerod Street, Accrington, on Tuesday, February 18, from 10am. Budget papers will be available from February 5 at www.hyndburnbc. gov.uk/meetings To speak at the meeting, call 01254 380128, or email scrutiny@hyndburnbc.gov.uk before 4pm on February 12 .
