ARTIST Nicola Hebson will revive her taxidermy masterclasses from Saturday, January, 25.
The painter and taxidermist, from Great Harwood, was backed by Blackburn is Open to provide taxidermy workshops in Blackburn Art Gallery and Museum, and every session sold out. The next round of Nicola’s workshops will be at the newly refurbished Blackburn is Open shop in King William Street, to be unveiled on Wednesday, January 22.
Self-taught Nicola Hebson will offer lessons in which participants will be given the chance to stuff a mouse. Nicola said: “The last four classes were extremely successful and lots of fun, and demand for more classes has been rather astonishing, to say the least.”
Nicola is also set open her own shop across from Blackburn Central Library with the help of the scheme.
The sessions will run on Saturdays, January 25 and February 1 from noon to 4pm with others taking place on Wednesday, February 5 and 12 from 6pm to 10pm.
