A BLACKBURN-based hospice is seeking volunteer van drivers who can spare a few hours a week to help.

East Lancashire Hospice, based on Park Lee Road, is looking for people who have experience of driving a transit or sprinter type van, who are physically fit and healthy and have a few hours to spare each week.

Those taking part will form an integral part of the team which raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for the hospice.

Dawn Neary, from East Lancashire Hospice, said: “We are looking for volunteer drivers to join our team to collect donations and deliver goods which people have bought from our warehouse.

“It could be for as little as two or three hours per week but the roles make a real difference, particularly the delivery and collection of larger items which have been bought or donated.

“We look forward to hearing from anyone who can help us.”

For more information call Dawn on 01254 733410, or Maria on 01254 733448.
