POLICE have released further details about the men they are hunting in connection with an attempted armed robbery on an off-licence in Accrington on Saturday night.

At around 10pm the men went into Top Shop on Willows Lane armed with a knife, but left empty-handed after being challenged by the shopkeeper.

All three men are described as white. One had ginger short hair, was of large build, and was aged between 17 and 20 years old.

He was 5ft 10 to 6ft tall and was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a blue/black bubble jacket The second man was 5ft 10, slim and aged 17 to 20, wearing dark tracksuit the with hood up.

The third was 5ft 8 to 5ft 10, slim, 17 to 20 years old, wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a green jacket and black balaclava. He was carrying a black bag.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 101.
