A LEADING pets charity is asking East Lancashire people to take part in an online tutorial.

PDSA is calling on pet owners to take part in The PDSA Big Pet Check – a quiz designed to give owners an insight into welfare needs.

The campaign has been launched following findings that millions of UK pets are obese, lonely, or neglected.

In the North West, less than half of all owners are familiar with the Animal Welfare Act, and the five animal welfare needs.

Nicola Martin, PDSA’s head of pet health and welfare, said: “The PDSA Big Pet Check gives owners an insight into their pets’ five welfare needs. By answering a few simple questions about their pet’s life, owners will get advice on how to improve their pets’ wellbeing.”
