MORE than 800 people packed into Blackburn Cathedral on Monday for East Lancashire Hospice’s Light Up A Life night.
In a touching service, people were invited to make a donation and shine a light in memory of friends and family.
They received a card dedicated to their loved one and their name will appear in the Light Up A Life book of remembrance which will be available to view at the hospice from February.
The Christmas tree lights were switched on by Michelle Wolstencroft and her children, who lost husband and dad Warren earlier this year after he spent time at the hospice.
Blackburn Music Society, the Central Youth Choir and Salesbury primary sang.
