Drivers warned not to be caught out in winter

MOTORISTS are being urged to prepare their vehicles for winter to prevent them breaking down.

The Highways Agency has advised drivers to check their cars are in good running order and tyres have got plenty of tread.

They should also consider regular servicing to help minimise the risk.

Before setting off on a journey, it advised that drivers check the forecast for their return trip, as well as what the weather will be like at their destination and along the route.
