Clayton-le-Moors 'top example' post office is officially opened

THE renovated Clayton-le-Moors post office was officially opened by the mayor of Hyndburn.

Coun Judith Addison cut the ribbon at the office, in Pickup Street.

Schoolchildren from All Saints Church of England Primary School and Mount Pleasant Primary School sang Christmas carols.

Hyndburn MP Graham Jones and  councillors also attended.

Owner and postmaster Zafar Ali said: “It’s one of the biggest transformations in the Post Office network.

“It’s one of the best post offices now, and it’s being used as an example for other postmasters.”
