NATIONAL photographers will be showcasing their work in Accrington over the next few months.

The Haworth Art Gallery is to feature the National Print Exhibition by the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. Housed in the Haworth Art Gallery, home to the largest collection of Tiffany Glass outside the USA, the free exhibition features the pick of 150 images representing Britain’s best photographers from camera clubs and photographic societies across the country.

The Accrington exhibition is the only chance for photography fans to view the prints in the North West and is one of only six venues across the country where they will be exhibited.

The images were selected from hundreds of entries to the PAGB's 2013 Inter-federation Print Competition, with each of the 15 federations taking part.

Gallery co-ordinator Yvonne Robins said: “This is the first time the Haworth Art Gallery has been host to this fabulous exhibition by the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and we are honoured to have such a prestigious organisation selecting our venue to show their work.”

The exhibition launched this weekend and runs until Saturday January 26 at the Manchester Road gallery. For more information contact 01254 233782.
