DOZENS of shoppers looked on as Hyndburn mayor Judith Addison cut the ribbon at Hyndburn’s Heritage Centre.
Coun Addison was joined by Accrington Stanley boss James Beattie, and Hyndburn MP Graham Jones as she opened the centre, in Accrington’s Arndale Centre.
The unit, formerly H. Samuels, proudly displays memorabilia from Hyndburn of old, including items from the cotton industry, and an old Singer machine.
The mayor looked at several sections in the museum, such as the Accrington Pals section and a section on the Freemasons, before giving a speech.
The centre was opened by Hyndburn Heritage and Community group, made up of volunteers.
