A WORLD record attempt was still going strong yesterday afternoon.
Young leaders at Blackburn’s Youth Zone kept the ball rolling with a world record bid to play the longest five-a-side game.
The bid began on Saturday, with a 16-strong squad featuring players from Blackburn College, businesses MDA, Forbes, Napthens, Graham and Brown, Micro P and the Youth Zone. The endurance event included 19-year-old Sam Ali refereeing, while fellow young leader Abdul Noor, 18, took part.
To succeed in their bid the team needs to continue for more than 53 hours.
