For fours years in the mid-1950s, I taught in the middle infants’ classes at Storrington Primary School.

I have often wondered if I might see any adults who had been those six-year-old children.

Now a reunion weekend is being planned for former pupils of the three infant huts and the five junior classes in the old school before it closed nearly 50 years ago.

Among the 30 pupils who have already attended three meetings, I have found six of “my” middle infants, and we remembered each other. Three now live in Worthing, Horsham and Winchester. Two others found each other living in Shoreham. Where are the rest of you?

Come along and share your memories. For details of the reunion weekend (November 2 and 3, 10am to 4pm) at the Old School, Storrington, contact Stuart Duncan on 01903 741106 or email storringtonmuseum @hotmail.co.uk.
