Firefighters strike tomorrow called off
A five-hour firefighters strike planned for tomorrow night has been called off.
The Fire Brigades Union said the decision to call off the action, which was due to take place between 6.30pm and 11.30pm tomorrow, was due to progress in talks over pensions being made.
The government wants firefighters to work up to 60 but the union says this is too old to be carrying out the physically-demanding job.
