1:38pm Tuesday 15th October 2013 in News
THREE defibrillators could be deployed across Hyndburn.
Oswaldtwistle Area Council is working with the Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre, and the Belthorn and Stanhill village committees in the pursuit of buying the life-saving devices.
Area Council chairman, Peter Britcliffe, said: “Defibrillators are being purchased across the country and I don't want Oswaldtwistle to be left out.”
Stanhill and Belthorn councillor, Doug Hayes, said: "This will be a great thing to have in the villages and the town. I hope we are able to take this matter forward successfully."
Oswaldtwistle Area Council coordinator Lisa Allen will present a report on the costs involved at the next Area Council meeting, on Wednesday, November 6 at the Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre, Blackburn Road, Accrington, at 7pm.
