Relaunched TSB bank's branches in East Lancashire
11:15am Monday 9th September 2013 in News
BANK customers in East Lancashire could see some changes in their local branch from today, as part of the TSB re-launch.
The new TSB Bank, which comes following the split of Lloyds TSB, will see branches re-branded TSB in Bastwell, in Blackburn, Haslingden, Nelson, Rawtenstall, and Todmorden.
The bank aims to bring ‘local banking’ back to the high street.
Paul Pester, TSB’s chief executive, said: “TSB bucks the trend in banking. We look forward to bringing local banking back to Lancashire and serving local communities in the area.
“And let’s not forget where we have come from.
“The TSB movement was originally created over 200 years ago when the Reverend Henry Duncan established the first Savings Bank, in Ruthwell, Scotland.
“Its sole purpose then was to serve the local people in the community.
“This is exactly what we’re doing again today as we bring the new TSB Bank back to Lancashire, to fuel local economies – and nothing else.”
