Accrington takeaway owner applies for planning permission
12:44pm Wednesday 28th August 2013 in News
A PROPERTY owner has applied for planning permission on an Accrington takeaway that was the subject of council enforcement action.
Asad Aslam, of Crossland Street, Blackburn, built a rear extension at Park Chippy on Blackburn Road without permission.
The rear extension was found to be ‘constructed in block work with a felt roof and badly crafted rear doors.’ The extension was significantly higher than other stores and extensions at the terraced properties and is a prominent feature at the rear of the terrace.
The application followed an appeal against enforcement action which was dismissed and outlines plans to demolish part of the extension and to rebuild it to required standards.
The application will be considered by council officers.
