DARWEN smartmeter firm Bglobal has appointed auditors KPMG to carry out a strategic review of the company.

Shareholders recently kicked out executive chairman Peter Kennedy in a dispute over the performance of the firm, which has struggled since the Government postponed the roll-out of smartmeters to every home in the UK. It was agreed a review of the company would take place, after which it would be decided whether some or all of the company would be sold off. Chief executive Tim Jackson-Smith said: “The board is delighted to have appointed KPMG to work with us in carrying out a wide-ranging review of the business and to assist us in delivering value to our shareholders.”
