East Lancashire youngsters make views known
12:51pm Friday 23rd August 2013 in News
LANCASHIRE young people in care this week made their views known to a senior MP at a top-level meeting at County Hall.
The summit was organised by Lancashire county’s children in care council which invited 30 young people from nine other North-West local authorities to meet with Calder Valley Tory Craig Whittaker who chairs the all-party parliamentary group for looked-after children and care leavers.
He said: “I found this experience invaluable.
“With evidence gathered from sessions like this and online questionnaires, I will be producing a report in October to present to the Government during Care Leavers' Week.”
