Prison for Blackburn thief with 218 crimes on record

A 39-YEAR-OLD man, whose criminal record runs to 37 pages, got another custodial sentence on his record when he was sent to prison by Blackburn magistrates.

The court heard Craig Joseph Thomas was made subject to suspended prison sentences in November and January, both of which were activated when he re-offended.

This time they decided he should go straight to jail, without being given a chance to go straight.

Thomas, of Cherry Lodge, Islington, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to shoplifting, at Boots, on March 12 and 13, and at Matalan on March 16.

He was sent to prison for 42 days.

Claire Grant, prosecuting, said Thomas’ record showed 218 previous offences, 118 of them relating to theft.

42 days thats just over a day for every page of his record. Who says crime doesnt pay when they hand out such low sentences.

Sounds like either the guy is a complete slag, and needs keeping off the streets, or he's in seriously in need of some sort of help. Either way, in this present cess-pit of a country, neither's likely to happen.

Of course crime pays, you only have to look at the release of the Bulger killers.
New Identitys, healthy bank balence, Homes, etc.
They should be rotting inside like many other scrotes who are roaming the streets due to limp wristed mags' & Judges.
