YOUNG people and their parents can find out what to expect from the new Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio (DAES), which opens in September.
An open evening is to be held tonight at Darwen Aldridge Community Acdemy (DACA) from 6pm to 8pm.
Another open event will be held at Blackburn Youth Zone on Sunday, from 5.30pm to 8pm.
DAES is planned to be situated at the former Model Lodging House in Police Street, subject to the council’s planning department approval.
The school, which will at first be based at DACA, will be aimed at students aged between 14 and 19, and will offer mainstream qualifications, delivered through business-based projects and linked to the world of work.
The two open events will offer an interactive opportunity to find out more about the style of learning on offer and the approach to the curriculum.
Principal Ruth Bradbury and her staff will be on hand to answer questions.
