Hyndburn Santa's grotto cash goes to good causes

HYNDBURN Council’s cabinet member for town centres, Coun Clare Pritchard, handed over £276, raised from a Santa’s grotto, to the mayor’s charities.
Coun Pritchard, who also helped Santa in the grotto, said: “Santa’s grotto was a huge success, with lots of families visiting from Hyndburn and further afield. “It was an added bonus that we were able to raise £276 for local good causes as well.”
Mayor John Broadley said: “It is good to know that money raised from such enjoyable events will go to benefit local people.”
