BLACKBURN College celebrated a landmark anniversary with three variety shows.

Students taking part in the shows, to mark the college’s 125th birthday, at the Fielden Street building, stepped into a number of roles.

Duo Bobby Tate and Lance Muir tried their hand at recreating the double act of Peter Cooke and Dudley Moore.

Other pieces put on by drama students yesterday took the audience through time, with performers covering everything from the Victorian Music Hall experience to performances based in the present day. The last performance is tonight, at 7pm. Tickets are available from the college’s Beacon Centre.
