Darwen Library Theatre’s discount boost
11:50am Tuesday 5th March 2013 in News
DARWEN Library Theatre has launched a new student discount scheme for shows at the Knott Street venue.
Cheaper tickets will be available to anyone in full-time education at two upcoming events.
Thin Lizzy tribute act Limehouse Lizzy’s gig this Thursday costs just £5 for a student ticket, while Ga Ga – A Tribute to Queen, on Friday, April 26, will also have discounted tickets for students.
A limited number of seats are available and tickets must be booked in person and ID must be provided.
Meanwhile, the Library Theatre has appealed for people to join its team of dedicated volunteers.
A range of duties are carried out including event stewarding, operating sound and lighting, marketing, postering and leafleting, house management which includes general DIY tasks, or bar and catering work.
Anyone interested can call 01254 774684 and leave a name and number, or email dlt@blackburn.gov.uk.

Why should students, who have so far contributed very little to society, be offered a discount? What about veterans who have served their country?
