Blackburn dog poisoning investigation continues

AN investigation into claims four dogs were poisoned on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal at is still ongoing.

PC Russ Lambert is appealing for anyone with information to contact him.

The appeal comes after four separate dogs died within 24 hours of being walked along the canal at Fenniscowles in Blackburn.

The dead animals including a Jack Russell and a chocolate labrador died over a four day period between February 12 and 15.

Claims a pensioner has been arrested for leaving poison on the towpath has been denied by police.

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101.

So is it safe to walk our dogs along the towpath now! and has the poison been removed!.
I hope someone comes forward soon with some information, before this sick evil freak puts more poison down.
There is a lot of angry dog walkers about.

Disgusting what some people would do to upset others. dogs are a part of the family.
