Neighbourhood police chief to address Darwen council

THE new man in charge of neighbourhood policing in Darwen will attend a meeting of the town council next Tuesday.
Insp Ian Whitehead will be at the meeting at the Town Hall in Knott Street, which starts at 7pm.
He will speak with the town councillors and answer questions from them.
Also on the agenda for the monthly meeting is a discussion on Lloyds TSB bank’s Lend a Hand scheme, and Darwen’s town crier, as well as the usual updates on finance, development and the parks committee.
People are welcome to attend the meeting and a public forum takes place towards the end, when questions can be asked on issues within the town council’s remit.
