Darwen volunteers ‘with eye for fashion’ call
10:25am Monday 25th February 2013 in News
AGE UK is looking for volunteers who can give just four hours of their time a week to work in its Darwen shop.
The shop, selling a range of donated goods to raise cash for the charity’s services to older people in Blackburn with Darwen, needs volunteers in a number of roles.
A spokeswoman for the Market Street shop said: “We are looking for volunteers who have a reasonable level of fitness and a good eye for fashion and clothing.
“Volunteers are needed to help with sorting and preparing goods for sale and for helping customers and serving on the till.”
A range of times and days are available Monday to Saturday and volunteers are asked to commit to at least four hours a week. Training and out of pocket travel expenses are provided.
