Holy Trinity Primary pupils celebrate the school’s report with head teacher Mark Standen
A CHURCH of England school in Darwen was judged ‘outstanding’ after a diocesan inspection.
Holy Trinity in Darwen was the subject of a National Society Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools last month.
Inspector Mike Graham found that the distinctiveness and effectiveness of Holy Trinity as a CofE school were outstanding.
The report also said the school was outstanding at meeting the needs of learners, and that the impact of collective worship on the school and the effectiveness of leadership and management were also outstanding.
In his report, Mr Graham said: “This school is a beacon of love and care for children and families.
“The Christian values, on which the school’s philosophy is based, shine through in every aspect of school life. “Worship is exemplary and the links with the parish church are strong and effective. “The work with families and special needs children is exceptional. “The leadership team, including governors, excel in living out their vision for the school.”
