Darwen MP to host 'Export for Growth' session
11:17am Thursday 7th February 2013 in News
AN East Lancashire MP will hold a free advice event to encourage businesses to ‘Export For Growth’.
Darwen MP Jake Berry will be at Crown Paints Learning Academy, in Hollins Road, Darwen, from 8.30am to 11am, on Friday, February 15.
Mr Berry said that over the past year the value of exports from the North West were estimated at more than £26billion, providing a massive boost to the region’s economy. And he is keen for local businesses to get involved in the lucrative market.
He said: “We in East Lancashire have a proud history in manufacturing and I believe that it is right that our quality businesses should be recognised not only on the national stage, but internationally.”
As well as Mr Berry, there will be representations from UK Trade & Investment, British Embassy Dublin, Crown Paints Ltd, and the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
