Darwen firm wins deal with energy firm
2:17pm Monday 4th February 2013 in News
DARWEN-based smart metre provider Bglobal plc has signed a deal with an independent gas and electricity supplier, Dual Energy, to deliver a major system change project.
It will deal with the replacement of Dual Energy’s software systems and the migration of existing customer data by Utiligroup, a subsidiary of the Darwen company.
This is the latest in a succession of recent deals for Utiligroup, and will support Dual Energy’s recent growth in the energy supply market, as well as underpinning ambitious plans for the future.
Worthing-based Dual Energy has selected Utiligroup’s Retail Software Solution Suite, to enhance its business and customer billing processes. In addition, Utiligroup will manage the migration of customer data from Dual Energy’s legacy systems and provide consultancy support throughout the transition period.
Tim Jackson-Smith, CEO of Bglobal plc, said: “It is testament to the excellent work of Utiligroup that another energy supplier has selected its systems to underpin its business operations.”
