Heartfelt help from Darwen MP
11:16am Thursday 31st January 2013 in News
DARWEN MP Jake Berry will be volunteering at the town’s British Heart Foundation Shop this weekend.
The politician is helping out at the Market Street store in a bid to raise awareness of National Heart Month and the British Heart Foundation’s “Rock up in Red” campaign.
Mr Berry said: “Heart and circulatory disease are the country’s biggest killer, so it’s vital that we all do our bit to help. I’ll be volunteering in the shop on Saturday and it would be great to see as many Darreners as possible coming along to support the start of British Heart Month.”
The shop is also looking for good quality donations of furniture and electrical items, clothes for women, men and children, books, shoes and handbags, accessories, CDs and DVDs, children’s toys and homeware.
You can drop off goods at your local shop, fill a doorstep donation bag or book a free collection for furniture and large electrical items.

Major Tom (twerp) would like his own address all over the place I suppose so that we supporters of Jake could terrorise him?
These negative comments make me sick. The address of the Conservative Office is in Railway Road, Darwen if you need help from Jake - he visits there on a regular basis.
Did Janet Anderson publish her address in Earnsdale Road - I think not.

He is fine when it comes to publicity stunts but perhaps he could answer why BwDBC are the 6th worst hit Council in the country with each person in Darwen losing £206 per head whilst Devon loses £4 per head. I wonder if he has challenged Pickles and his cronies.
Jake Berry is either toothless or useless ! Or perhaps both.
And to you "AMAZED" feeling sick about comments on here means you must have a very poor constitution. People are having benefits cut and digging deep to find extra money (not just the unemployed but the low-payed) to pay bedroom tax.
Feeling sick is something that happens regularly when hard-up families open letters informing them of a cut in benefits or increase in standing orders for energy and when they open their purse to find only coppers left to feed the family.
Now THAT is something to feel sick about.
You - AMAZED, are just a suck-up.
