Blackburn pupils learn to train like astronauts
12:48pm Tuesday 29th January 2013 in News
THE sky is the limit for youngsters at two Blackburn schools who are learning to train like astronauts.
Students from Years 7 and 8 from Witton Park High School, in Buncer Lane, are teaming up with 10 pupils from Griffin Park Primary School, in Cavendish Place, to launch a club, backed by the UK Space Agency, in conjunction with NASA and the European Space Agency.
The children can find out what it is like to work on board the International Space Station and even converse with the astronauts.
There will also be organised online sessions when students have the opportunity to talk to or email the astronauts.
