Man appears at Blackburn court over racial abuse

A 36-YEAR-OLD man who ‘kicked off’ in a police station shouted racist abuse at officers.

Blackburn magistrates heard Farhan Choudhry called an officer ‘the devil’ and ‘a Jewish robot’.

Farhan Choudhry, 36, of not fixed address, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated threatening behaviour. He was jailed for 12 weeks.

Imran Hussain, defending, said his client had been drinking heavily and had taken some ‘yellow tablets’ and had little recollection of the incident.

“His record shows he has previously failed to comply with community orders and he has no address which restrict your sentencing options,” said Mr Hussain.
