Matthew Cox on the Inca Trail
ROVERS fan Matthew Cox showed just how devoted he is to the club — by taking a Blackburn flag along the Inca Trail in Peru.
Matthew is pictured with the flag at Machu Picchu, an ancient Inca ruins located almost 8,000 feet above sea level.
He said: “I took the flag because the club isn't going through the best of times and wanted to show that a lot of people are still proud to be blue and white.”
Machu Picchu was built around 1450, at the height of the Inca Empire. It was abandoned 100 years later as a result of the Spanish Conquest. It is possible the inhabitants died from smallpox from travelers.

One of these is a former empire, now a crumbling wasteland with no inhabitants, the previous residents were diseased and their home is now renowned for it's novelty value.
And the other is Machu Picchu...
