Recently, I received a letter from the same practise asking if I wish to remain registered with them. Thinking there was some mistake, I telephoned to state that I wasn't registered with the names shown upon the letter header but found that 2 had died, one had emigrated and another had retired!
My name had been shuffled from one to another as each had left, and that basically, the letter was to enquire as to my own health. Since, according to the records, I had no taken up annual healthchecks, 'Well Man' clinics or any of the other services that they proffer.
Given the parless state of the NHS, I won't bother going to Bangor St and asking about a refund, as I feel that someone, somewhere is having my share of that cake.
I really don't mind chipping in for the others, I really don't, for if you cannot enjoy good health, what else have you in life?
I wish you, well.
