£435,000 drug haul at Accrington house

A 29-YEAR-OLD man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates after police recovered 150kg of cannabis from a house in Avenue Parade, Accrington.
The court was told that 600 9oz bars of the drug with an estimated street value of £435,000 were seized.
Ian George Batey, of Dill Hall Lane, Accrington, was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court.
