A NEW supporters’ trust for Blackburn Rovers fans launches at an event tomorrow.
Rovers Trust, a group set up to raise funds to buy the Ewood Park club, will be launched at Blackburn Cathedral, at 10am.
The trust, which has been backed by former players Simon Garner and Glenn Keeley, costs £10 to join.
Members can also pledge £1,000 towards an initial target of £10million to try to bring the club into fan ownership. The trust is also promising a Rovers Rewards scheme for shareholders who could receive up to 5per cent annual return for 20 years, depending on their membership level.
Co-chairman Oliver Jones said: “We now need supporters to join Rovers Trust in their thousands to show the club we mean business.”
