ST Peter’s Church, Darwen, is hosting an informal open evening for people to see how the bells are rung tonight, from 7pm to 8pm.
The church is the only one in Darwen that still has a working ring of bells and its six bells were cast when the church was built in the 1830s.
Everyone is welcome but church bosses warned the ringing chamber is only about three metres square and is accessed by 27 steps from the base of the tower.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied.
Just turn up on the evening or call Esther on 01254 776436 for more information.
