Prince Charming could be the star of his own Disney live-action movie.
The studio is said to have closed a deal for a film focusing on the character, who has come to the rescue and saved the lives of princesses such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.
Details on the film are being kept under wraps, but the script is described as a “revisionist take on the fairy tales”, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Matt Fogel has written the script, while David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will produce.
This is the latest live-action project for Disney, following in the footsteps on animated classics such as Cinderella, which starred Game Of Thrones’ actor Richard Madden as Prince Charming role, and Maleficent, which centred on the Sleeping Beauty enchantress, played by Angelina Jolie.
A live-action remake of Beauty And The Beast, starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, is filming at the moment, while versions of Mulan, Fantasia and Dumbo are also in development.
