If you thought the guys out in Australia were having about as bad a time as England cricketers could have, spare a thought for Andrew Flintoff.
While the England team have been getting knocked out of the World Cup in humiliating fashion, the 37-year-old has been in South Africa, starring in the Australian version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
And because Aussies can’t get enough of making life miserable for English cricketers, of course Freddie was nominated to do that bushtucker trial where they have to eat all manner of wildly unappealing things, including a scorpion, a rat’s tail and a Madagascan hissing cockroach.
You can watch the lot in the videos below, though it’s not for the faint-hearted – it’s so disgusting even host Dr Chris Brown had to interrupt his duties for a quick vom.
If you’re wondering what’s going on with Freddie’s hair, he shaved it “as a gesture to balding men and bald men everywhere” after he won the camp use of some clippers for completing a challenge.
So if you can face it, here is Freddie Flintoff’s lowest moment. Stay tuned for the last few seconds of the last video for the real kicker.
We’d take a World Cup defeat against Bangladesh over that any day. Well played, Freddie.
