Sir Elton John and David Furnish are apparently planning a Christmas wedding later this month.
The Rocket Man and his long-term partner are expected to marry in a festive ceremony at their plush home in Windsor on December 21, reported the Daily Mirror.
The couple underwent a civil partnership in 2005 on the day such ceremonies were introduced, and want to officially wed now that the partnerships can be converted into marriages.
Elton and David, who have two young children together, are apparently planning to keep their nuptials intimate, with celebrity friends such as the Beckhams and Liz Hurley expected to be on the guest list.
A friend said the pair have been planning their big day for months.
“Elton is flamboyant but, for once, this will be a decidedly low-key affair,” added the insider. “Only close friends and family are invited – it’s going to be a small, intimate do.”
