The Mrs Brown's Boys star finished second bottom on judges' scores after her foxtrot fell flat in front of a panel that included 70s pop star Donny Osmond as a guest judge.
The winner of Dancing With The Stars, the US version of the hit show, was an excitable if slightly unpredictable judge on a movie-themed weekend of performances.
They included some notable displays, with the most flamboyant being Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, who took to the floor as Sebastian the crab from The Little Mermaid.
His performance was panned by the judges, with Craig Revel Horwood calling him a "lobster on acid".
Judy Murray and television presenter Tim Wonnacott also struggled to find their feet.
Bookie Coral made Gibney the 6-4 favourite to leave Strictly Come Dancing tomorrow evening, with another cool, calm and collected performance by EastEnders star Jake Wood seeing his winning odds shortened to 9-4.
Spokesman John Hill said: "Jennifer Gibney and Judy Murray both look under pressure following tonight's performances but we make the Mrs Brown's Boys actress the hot favourite to exit in the elimination show.
"Punters are even more convinced that Jake Wood is going to take the top prize this year as he has been backed even further after another solid display."
It was funtime Frankie Bridge as the Saturdays star was top performer with a sizzling pasodoble with Kevin Clifton, set to America from West Side Story, which gained the first 10 of the series from Osmond.
Singer Pixie Lott's Beauty And The Beast-themed quickstep impressed and Casualty actress Sunetra Sarker also wowed the judges as she and partner Brendan Cole went old school with an American smooth to The Way You Look Tonight from the Fred Astaire film Swing Time.
The result of the public vote will be announced tomorrow night.
