Katie Holmes has said she doesn't regret becoming famous, but tries to make sure her daughter Suri leads as normal a life as possible.
The Batman star's fame skyrocketed during her marriage to Tom Cruise between 2006 and 2012, but told US show Today that she didn't regret the opportunities being so famous had given her.
Asked whether she'd trade her fame to go back to normal life, Katie said: "You know what? I never really look back. I just approach life taking it one day at a time.
"I'm really excited about where I am right now. I've had some really wonderful creative experiences. I'm just really grateful."
She said of being an A list star while trying to bring up daughter Suri: " Of course you try your best. I try very hard because I'm very grateful for my upbringing, my parents, my siblings. I try to do what they did for me for my little one.
"The most important thing for me is letting her know how proud I am and her accomplishments mean everything. Whatever I do is whatever. It's really just about her. That's what I think is most important."
