Robert Downey Jr leads the list of the highest-earning Hollywood actors for the second year running.

The Iron Man star, 49, has seen his status rocket following his recurring role as the superhero in the Marvel films. He banked around 75 million US dollars (£43.9 million) in the past 12 months, from June 2013 to June 2014, according to Forbes.com.

Dwayne Johnson took second place, having starred in the Fast And Furious films, GI Joe: Retaliation and the upcoming Hercules. The former pro wrestler, also known as The Rock, earned an estimated 52 million US dollars (£30 million) in the past year.

Oscar-nominated actor Bradley Cooper, who next voices Rocket Raccoon in Guardians Of The Galaxy, came in third, having made around 46 million US dollars (£27 million), followed by Wolf Of Wall Street star Leonardo DiCaprio in the fourth spot with earnings of an estimated 39 million US dollars (£22.8 million).

Robert's Avengers co-star Chris Hemsworth, best known for playing Norse god Thor, made his debut on the list and rounded out the top five, having banked around 37 million US dollars (£21.6 million).

Liam Neeson, Ben Affleck (who will be the new Batman in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice), Christian Bale, Will Smith and Mark Wahlberg also appear on the top 10 list.
