Simon Cowell has vowed to try and quit smoking when his baby is born.
The TV mogul's girlfriend Lauren Silverman is expecting their baby so Simon admitted he wants to ditch his nicotine habit.
He made the promise when TV host Arsenio Hall took him to task about smoking on his US show.
Comedian Arsenio teased Simon by saying he could smell the smoke on him, but the X Factor star joked that he was supporting the US economy by only smoking American cigarettes.
But when Arsenio told Simon: "You have to stop smoking around the kid, man!" the 54-year-old conceded that he would try to stub out the ciggies for good.
"I'll stop. Yeah, I'll try," he said.
Lauren and Simon - who apparently confessed he first tried smoking when he was eight - are expecting their baby in February. While neither has confirmed the gender, it's thought the baby is a boy.
